So Much Storywoods News!

I am so excited about Hank Finds An Egg arriving in bookstores everywhere later this spring. As soon as the book arrives I
will be embarking on the first ever Storywoods Traveling Diorama Craft Event Tour! I am looking forward to meeting you and
sharing the fun of building dioramas with you. Stay tuned for details about my appearance at a great bookstore near you.
I am still planning my route and would love to hear about your favorite bookstores. Please post ideas in the comments section
of this post or drop me a line.

More excitement!  My photographs will be featured in the 'Construction Sites' exhibit at The Lubeznik Center for the Arts
in Michigan City Indiana. The show will be up from May 18-July 28 and is curated by Thomas Allen. You need to see his blog.

Lastly, to avoid confusion with my forthcoming book, I am taking Li'l Smokey's Special Box out of print at noon on Friday,
April 5th. Sincere apologies if you are receiving this news too late. If so -- please contact me and I will see if any copies are
available in a store in your area. Some third party sellers may also have a copy, but (thankfully!) most people do not want to part
with them!

Skipper is Happy

I hear them laughing.

There they are.

Hm. I don't know.

It is so hard to tell if Skipper is happy.

If only we could know.

I wish there was a way he could tell us.

. . .

. . .

I guess we'll just never know for sure.

Skipper Has a Project

Li'l Smokey! Skipper needs more leaves!

Skipper has been making rows of leaves out here. We are helping.

How is it going, Skipper?

Done for today?

OK, don't stay out too late. It might snow.

Big News!

Storywoods friends!  Peter Pauper Press will be publishing Hank Finds an Egg -- a book based on the blog
post from March 2010, but with entirely new photographs and many more of them, 59 images, to be exact. I was
thrilled to have the chance to re-photograph the story in the colors of spring and incorporate lots of new
story twists and forest details.  Did you ever wonder if Hank made several attempts to get that egg back in the
nest?  Well, he did!  And now you can find out exactly how dedicated he is to that egg. The new book will be
available in Spring 2013.

Peter Pauper Press has been making beautiful books since 1928. I am so happy to be working with them and be
included in their huge catalog of lovely work.  They will make sure my book is in stores as well as available
via the usual venues on the web.  No more driving around town dropping off little stacks of books!  It turns
out that the double-parked Toyota is not the best book distribution strategy. It will be great to visit my
favorite book stores to browse the books again instead of just dashing in and out.

Please note -- to avoid confusion with the new book, my self published book 'Hank Finds an Egg and Makes
Several Friends' will be going out of print mid-day on Saturday, November 17, so if you were hoping to
give it as a gift this holiday season, you only have two days left!  Sincere apologies if you are receiving
this news too late.  If so -- please contact me and I will see if any copies are available in a store in your area.
Some third party sellers may also have a copy, but (thankfully!) most people do not want to part with them!

Thanks to all of you who have visited Storywoods in its first three years.  I am so grateful for your encouragement.
Amazing things happen when you share what you love with the world.

If you’d like to make sure you get the new book as soon as it’s available, you can pre-order it on Amazon.com:

Skipper

We don't know if it's a boy or a girl, so we're going to call it 'Skipper'.

Skipper carries that little blanket everywhere.

Be careful Skipper!
