This weekend I celebrated the arrival of the book with friends who helped make it happen. If you have ever wondered "how does she do that?" the secret is: I have a lot of help. My friends help me choose my cameras, calibrate my monitor, choose fonts, review proofs, edit thousands of pictures down to 59 and keep me from over-correcting colors in Photoshop. I am very lucky indeed. One of those amazing friends, the spectacular photographer-of-the-ineffable, Rachel Herman, will be interviewing me on Sunday at Women and Children First bookstore in Chicago. I have no idea what she's going to ask me, but she's a genius, so it will be great. We will have treats, including two beverages specially formulated for the event. If you have ever wondered what a drink called "The Hank" tastes like, this is the event for you! We will also have a little Q&A with the audience and then get down to the business of signing books.
If you cannot make it to the signing you can get a personally inscribed book: Women and Children First is the source for
personally inscribed copies of 'Hank Finds an Egg'. You can tell the nice people there exactly how you would like the
book inscribed and I will drop by the store to take care of it. You call, I sign, they send, you get your personalized book.
